Who Wants (or needs) Permanent Cosmetics?

The active/busy – people who live active lifestyles and don’t want to spend their time in front of a mirror applying make-up are perfect candidates for permanent cosmetic procedures.

The visually impaired – people who have macular degeneration and can no longer see their faces very well in the mirror are also good candidates for permanent cosmetics.

Parkinson’s patients – people who can no longer steady their hands or initiate their own movement to apply make-up are excellent candidates for permanent cosmetics.

What to Consider...

When considering permanent cosmetics, there are a multitude of methods from which to choose and costs also vary greatly. SofTap® is one of the most gentle methods in permanent cosmetic application offered today and it's also one of the most sterile methods. Those are two very strong considerations for any permanent cosmetic client, especially if you are over the age of 40, as our skin begins to loose its elasticity (collagen and elastin) and there are drawbacks associated with procedures on older skin that the SofTap® technique addresses quite well.  It is less invasive, gentle, less painful, heals quickly and minimizes any opportunity for cross-contamination of blood-borne pathogens.

Cost should never be the sole decision factor in selecting your procedure. Be sure to compare “apples to apples” when shopping price or cost only. For example, do all of the providers offer touchups with the fees being charged for the procedure? How about being “on-call” to answer any questions you may have after the procedure? Do the fees include a consultation, a patch test, taxes, supplies such as healing ointment, or are those fees in addition to the base charges?  Be informed - do your research about the various ways technicians do their work, about feedback they have received from their clients and about seeing for yourself the results of their work in the form of a “before and after” photo catalogue of happy clients before you make a decision for a procedure from any technician. Remember, you will always get for your money that for which you are willing to pay – the least expensive, most affordable technician isn’t always the best! Also remember, this is PERMANENT and let that fact guide you in your decision-making!

Important: Permanent pigment placement into the skin lasts longer if the skin is protected from the sun’s UV rays. As with any other “investment” you make in your life, caring for your procedure requires routine maintenance. Please, use sunscreen when going outdoors, and to ensure your procedure continues to look fresh, have periodic touchups.
